Art & Shop · Vienna

A body of work that carries the site, not a grid that files it away.

Robin Reithmayr works as an artist in Vienna under the motto “UNCENSORED. UNCONSCIOUS.”. The site sells art prints and originals and accepts commissions – without the works turning into products in a list.

Starting point

Where the project began.

A standard portfolio grid treats every work as equally large and equally important. With art, that is exactly the mistake: the impact comes from scale, distance and sequence, not from an even wall of tiles.

At the same time the site is meant to sell, to an international audience. That means addressing visitors in English, but with German legal texts including the right of withdrawal, because sales are made to consumers.

Solution

How the presence is built.

The presentation gives the works room and leads through them instead of lining them up. Art prints and originals are separated, because they are two different purchase decisions.

The path to an inquiry is short and reachable at every point without interrupting the presentation. Commissions deliberately run through an inquiry instead of a cart, because they need a conversation.

Delivered
  • Immersive presentation of works with a parallax experience
  • Separate sections for art prints and originals
  • Direct inquiry path for commissions
  • English address with German legal texts
  • Complete consumer information including the right of withdrawal
Result
A site that carries the work instead of archiving it – and still does not hide the sales.
